The Fellowship Fund exists to provide the RBC congregation with a way of helping their fellow spiritual pilgrims and others in their close orbit who may be experiencing financial difficulties. We wanted to remind you of this, especially in light of the potential challenges engendered by the current pandemic. Here are a few things we want you to know about the Fellowship Fund:
ASSISTANCE FROM THE FELLOWSHIP FUND
- The Fellowship Fund is administered by the Pastor. (pastorsarah@rbcabc.org)
- The Fellowship Fund is never used to disburse money directly to a person in need. Instead it is used to pay third parties on behalf of the person in need. Some examples would be: rent, utility bills, loan installments. When food is needed, RBC has a supply of Giant gift cards that can be provided.
- We expect the Fellowship Fund to be used for RBC folks, others who are vouched for by RBC folks, and wider community members who can be vouched for by someone trustworthy.
- Folks in need may inquire directly with Pastor Sarah (see her contact info above). If you know of someone who needs assistance, you may refer them to Pastor Sarah.
SUPPORTING THE FELLOWSHIP FUND
- The Fellowship Fund is supported by donations from RBC folks. The amount available to assist folks fluctuates based on funds available.
- You may donate to the Fellowship Fund on the HOME page as there is an Online Giving link at the bottom of the page. As you go through the process, there is an opportunity on a scroll-down bar to designate your donation to the Fellowship Fund.
- You may also donate by sending a check payable to Royersford Baptist Church to the church at 452 S Lewis Rd, Royersford PA 19468 – ATTN: Financial Secretary – and designate whatever amount you want to go to the Fellowship Fund.
- YOU MAY NOT, HOWEVER, DIRECT HOW OR TO WHOM THE MONEY YOU DONATE IS TO BE DISBURSED.
- We would also gently ask you not to neglect your offerings to the General Fund in order to contribute to the Fellowship Fund. Both of these funds have an important role in maintaining RBC as a viable community of faith.
BLESSINGS!
