The Story of the Windows The most striking visual aspect of our building is the pair of 40 foot high stained glass windows. Designed by the Willet Stained Glass Studio in Philadelphia the images depict the story of creation, redemption and faith that forms the basis of ministry at Royersford Baptist Church.
East Window
The east window depicts God’s redemption through the great gift of Jesus Christ. This is symbolized by the creative hand of God with the dove of the Holy Spirit. The three symbols representing the three parts of the trinity form a golden triangle of light touching the world.
Next to the cross are five abstract red marks representing the wounds of Christ on the cross. The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit are shown as abstract shapes around the dove. God has given men and women free will and we must accept or reject the gift of salvation in Jesus Christ. When we accept, we are given the gifts of the Sprit and this is shown by the light starting at a narrow point at the base of the window and going in triangular form back up to the creative hand. This dialogue of lights symbolizes God’s love and our return of that love.
West Window The symbolic story of the windows begins with the west wall where the encompassing power of God the Creator is depicted creating the universe. At the top is the all-seeing eye of God from which the light flows down to the world below, borne on the wings of the Holy Spirit. The seven days of creation are
