Our Team

Rev. Sarah Strosahl-Kagi

Pastor
(she/her/hers)

Pastor Sarah received her call to ministry at the US-Mexico border (which is also where she met her husband). Since then, her ministry often brings her to thresholds both material and immaterial- between people, between life stages, and between God and creation. She is excited to be in ministry with RBC- a congregation that values all of God’s creation and takes seriously the words of Micah 6:8- to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. She began her ministry with RBC during the COVID-19 pandemic, and while that presents challenges, she is energized by the new opportunities it has created as well.

A graduate of the University of New Hampshire and Andover Newton Theological School, she holds degrees in music education and international affairs, and a Master of Divinity with certificates in Ethics and Social Justice and Religion and Conflict Transformation. She enjoys playing the marimba, eating tacos, watching the Red Sox, and spending time with her family- husband, Josh; kids, Asher and Ellie; and rescued pets Stout (dog), Peaches and Thor (guinea pig), and Janet (cat).

Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry and minor in Biblical Studies from Eastern University. He is a video game enthusiast and a gifted musician. He shares his life with his wife Eva, a couple of feline friends-- Nacho and Fanta, and his high energy dog Koda. He has been doing youth ministry for over 10 years, loves to connect with students and always welcomes new faces at Youth Group!

She received her Bachelor of Science from Kutztown University in 2022, studying Social Media Theory and Strategy. Jillian is new to the administrative field but is very eager to learn the ropes here at RBC. Jillian lives in Pottstown with her partner, Finn, and their two troublemaker cats, Oliver and Dahlia. Outside of work, she can be found spending her time expressing her creativity and supporting her partner as well as their friends in the world of musical theatre.

Lara can help you participate in worship teams, special music, bell choir and many other opportunities. Lara teaches instrumental music in two Quakertown elementary schools. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education Degree from Immaculata University and her Master of Science in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph University.

Joshua Kagi

Technology Coordinator
(he/him/his)

Josh's skills, interests, and passions all align in his role as Technology Coordinator at RBC. As a communications professional with a background in journalism, Josh loves to find new mediums through which to tell important stories. Growing up in an American Baptist church in Oregon and strongly influenced by his volunteer-missionary grandparents, Josh finds great meaning in being the hands and feet of Christ in the world.

When not writing, web designing, photographing, producing videos, or troubleshooting tech issues, Josh enjoys cooking, watching Bluey, cheering on the Portland Timbers, and spending time with his family.

Cheryl Nicholson

Nursery Care Supervisor
(she/her/hers)

Cheryl was first introduced to the church and the teachings of Jesus by attending church with her grandmother and her Aunt at their respective churches (located in Oaks and Chester Springs) as a child. Through these experiences she was exposed to different Sunday school teachers who left a lasting impression on her life.

Additionally, Cheryl brings over 20 years of childcare experience with her to RBC both in the formal and in home settings, as well as being a mother to two boys. Cheryl possesses a degree in Education and is currently pursuing her teaching certification in Elementary Education. Cheryl enjoys interacting with children from birth up.

Cheryl’s teaching philosophy is learning through a combination of play and structured learning activities. She believes in supporting the whole child and families. Her goal is to ensure parents feel safe leaving their child, and that all children feel welcome and loved when they come to RBC.

Cheryl lives in Royersford with her family, and looks forward to welcoming you and your family to RBC.
